Attention Parents: Student Absence Form

The talented and dedicated faculty and staff at BRHS have been working hard to roll out our Distance Learning Plan. All students should be actively engaged and participating in their remote learning at this time. Each student has a faculty (homeroom) Advisor. If they have any questions or need support they can contact their Advisor and they will be available to help in any way that they can. Individual course faculty have contacted their classes and set learning expectations and outlined assignments. BRHS teachers are teaching and available to students Monday-Friday 8 am-3 pm.

Students are expected to engage and participate in their learning daily (Monday -Friday). If a student is unable to access their learning during their usual class time, we ask that they try to manage their time and work to ensure that they keep up with their studies. We are closely monitoring student participation. Our teachers are available and will work hard to support and coach each student through this new learning experience. We have extended the end of the 3rd Quarter to help support the transition to remote learning. Boothbay Region High School Quarter 3 will close on April 7th.

I wanted to review the BRHS’ s student attendance reporting procedure during remote learning. We have created a BRHS ’Student Absence Form”. The form is on the AOS 98 Website, AOS 98Technology page: Remote Learning: Parent Page
Here is the link:  https://sites.google.com/aos98schools.org/technology/parents/remote-learning?authuser=0

We ask the parent/guardian to complete this form if your high school student is unable to participate in remote learning due to illness or other reasons. This will not only help us to support your student but it will also help to monitor for any specific health concerns. This form is confidential and information will only be shared with those that work directly with your child.

The health and wellness of your family comes first. On behalf of the faculty and staff at BRHS, I share our care and concern for you and your entire family. Please reach out if you need anything and we will work to do all that we can to help. Together we will get through this.

Our hearts are with you!
