50 meals will be available each day- first come, first serve
Any child of our area 18 and under. No income requirement.
Curb side pick up at YMCA parking lot 11:30-12:30 for Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28
The Boothbay Region YMCA has received $10,000 in emergency funding from the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation in order to continue providing weekend meals for area youth. This food program work is a collaborative effort between multiple organizations. For many years, our Y has participated in a food security collaborative to tackle the increasing rate of food insecurity faced by our community. Through this work, a number of organizations partner and leverage resources to work against hunger in a cohesive, systematic approach. The Boothbay Region Elementary School cafeteria provides meal preparation, and the school district is currently providing a bus in the Y parking lot for us to use as a meal distribution center.
