Good Afternoon Edgecomb Eddy Families!

With great pride and belief in our school, I am reaching out to provide you with information about our school budget such as important dates, meetings, and opportunities to be a part of the discussion for our school and our children. Perhaps most of all, I want to make every effort to assist you in making an informed decision about our school and the cost to our local communities.

At the end of February, our elected school board adopted the 2025-2026 school budget for Edgecomb Eddy. The budget has also been shared with Edgecomb’s Budget Committee that will go through the full budget process as we will be seeking voter approval this spring. Here is a link to a presentation entitled “Introduction to School Budgets” that was created by our School Board Chairperson, Heather Sinclair. Also please see the “Edgecomb Eddy School Budget Presentation FY26” we shared at our February meeting.

As Edgecomb Eddy has students from the towns of Alna, Westport, and Edgecomb, all members of these communities are welcome to attend any and all meetings at the town and/or school level. In terms of voting representation, only citizens from Edgecomb may vote on the budget. Your presence and participation in meetings and discussions are vitally important to demonstrate support for what we feel is the very best interest of our communities.

Here are the following dates and information to be aware of:

Monday, March 17 School Board Meeting - 5:00 pm at Edgecomb Eddy School

Saturday, April 12 Public Review of All Warrant Articles - 10:00 am at Town Office

Tuesday, April 15 Monthly Regular School Board Meeting - 5:00 pm at Edgecomb Eddy School

Wednesday, May 14 Public Review of All Warrant Articles - 6:00 pm at Town Office

Please know that we have put forth a fiscally responsible and educationally sound budget to support our students and families at Edgecomb Eddy School. Edgecomb Eddy has a reputation for educational excellence and for the development of strong and confident individuals. Without question, our students will be ready to make a very profound impact in our community, our country, and our world. We greatly appreciate you taking the time and opportunity to be informed about our budget and our school.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or if you have anything you would like to discuss. Sincerely Yours,

Tom Landberg, Principal
