Edgecomb's grade 4 is enjoying immersive monthly themed educational day-long visits to Midcoast Conservancy's Hidden Valley Nature Center. Students are learning about Maine ecology from naturalist educators, enjoying lessons, journaling, hikes, games, and activities. Grade 4 has also been tying learning into the classroom with the reading and discussion of "Lost on a Mountain in Maine" By Donn Fendler and engaging in learning and activities around maps, mapping, and topography.
